Toyota JZX110/171 running JZX100 maf with pinout change
The Jzx100 "torpedo" style mass air flow sensor has been proven to be more reliable due to its internal style metering system. Switching from the less favorable "drop in" style Jzx110/171 maf to a Jzx100 requires a plug pinout change.
We've documented and have video of a correctly setup conversion. The 0-5v metering values are the same for all JZ GTE mafs (Jzx100, jzx110/171, Jzs161, USDM Jza80). With the correct pinout, all the generations are interchangeable, but the drop in style are subject to piping size, this is where the Jzx100 is a superior choice as the element is enclosed in the correct size housing.
